After winning in straight sets, the Indian duo of Anirudh Chandrasekar and Vijay Prashanth moved on to the men’s doubles quarterfinals of the US men’s clay court championship ATP tour tournament.

In an hour and nineteen minutes on Monday, the Indian pair defeated American wild card entrants Michael Mmoh and Frances Tiafoe 6-3, 6-4 in a round of sixteen match.

In the quarterfinals, Chandrasekar and Prashanth take on M Purcell and J Thompson, the fourth-seeded Australian pair. In doubles, Prashanth is presently ranked 101, while Chandrasekar is rated 113.

There are a few more Indians competing in the doubles division.

In the pre-quarterfinals, Arjun Kadhe and Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan take on Marcus Daniell of New Zealand and Luis Martinez of Venezuela.
