Tomislav Ivisic has committed to Illinois basketball, according to Jonathan Givony. Ivisic, a real 7-footer, averages 7.1 points and 3.8 rebounds in roughly 16 minutes per game while playing in the Montenegrin basketball league. Zvonimir, the former big man from Kentucky, has a brother named Tomislav. Following John Calipari’s takeover of the Kentucky program, Zvonimir, who played his final season there, transferred to the University of Arkansas.

Tomislav will team up with Morez Johnson Jr. and Carey Booth, a dynamic and talented frontcourt. Given that Booth and Johnson Jr. both appear to be power forwards, Tomislav Ivisic’s status as a genuine 7-footer is advantageous for Illinois basketball.

Illinois Basketball still has 4 scholarships to fill on their roster. They certainly would like to add a go-to scorer on the wing and will look at all options to do so. As the NBA draft process continues, Illinois will hope to find some transfers who went through the process but, however, elected to return to the college game. Additionally, Brad Underwood and Orlando Antigua will certainly look at international prospects who are talented enough to play. As Coach Underwood and Coach Antigua said in their recent media availability, Illinois Basketball is a global brand. Landing Ivisic is the first statement to support that.
